Exceptional holdings of paintings and sculpture by Moritz Daniel Oppenheim, Raphael Soyer, William Gropper, Mane-Katz, and other traditional and contemporary Jewish (and other) artists show the variety of Jewish art that has flowered from the late 18th C. into the present.
Boy Awakening, (1875) Toby Rosenthal. The painter, who was raised in San Francisco but worked in Munich, was widely known in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and is highly regarded today.
